Nuclear Power – Asset or Barrier for the Energy Transition?
The EU Commission included nuclear energy in the new EU Climate Strategy which is why a discussion is of importance in the Brussels context with relevant partners and stakeholders.
During the evening, the global status of nuclear energy will be presented while raising the question whether nuclear power is an asset or a barrier for energy transition. Special focus will be put on the situation in France and Belgium. During the second part of the evening, developments and challenges of management and disposal of nuclear waste will be further discussed. Speakers from different countries and backgrounds will take part in the exchange.
