A Feminist Roundtable
How can we maintain journalistic standards and ethical reporting?
As the year continues to unfold with rapid developments and a dynamic political landscape, the recent elections in Romania have given us a glimmer of hope.
Building on that momentum, we are pleased to invite you to our next digital roundtable, taking place on June 24 at 5:30 PM (CEST).
Our Topic: How can we maintain journalistic standards and ethical reporting when facing increasing attacks on press freedom and with politicians repeatedly attempting to manipulate the media?
Following your suggestions from our previous meeting, we’ve chosen this particularly urgent topic for discussion.
We are delighted to welcome Zuzana Gabrižová from Slovakia as our guest speaker. She will share personal insights and strategies based on her experiences in the field.
The second part of the meeting will once again be interactive.
We invite you to reflect on and exchange your own approaches or experiences, as well as the challenges you might be facing. Please register for the event via the registration form on the right corner.
One more recommendation: In the context of the recent Press Freedom Days, the Heinrich Böll Foundation hosted a panel discussion on disinformation and independent journalism. If you missed it, you can watch the livestream here: Watch the discussion on YouTube
On that occasion, Claudia had the chance to speak with:
- Berta Tilmantė, Co-Founder of NARA, multimedia journalist
- Andrea Dip, investigative journalist
- Sophie Timmermann, CORRECTIV
- Diana Salinas, journalist and editorial director of Cuestión Pública
If you have any questions or feedbacks regarding our roundtable, please don’t hesitate to contact us! We look forward to your participation and a lively exchange. Warm regards, Larissa, Claudia and Amélie
