Cybersecurity Act 2: How can Europe balance resilience, competitiveness and openness?

Venue: L42 business center & workspaces, Rue de la Loi 42, 1040 Brussels

ZVEI, the Electro and Digital Industry Association, and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union | Global Dialogue are pleased to invite you to a panel debate on the revision of the EU Cybersecurity Act.

With the proposed Cybersecurity Act 2, the EU aims to strengthen its cybersecurity architecture whilst creating greater coherence within the European regulatory framework. At the heart of this revision is the trusted ICT supply chain framework, designed to address both technical and non-technical (geopolitical) risks in critical supply chains. The debate therefore centres on the question: How can Europe effectively mitigate geopolitical dependencies without jeopardising its security? For industry, politics and civil society, the challenge is to strike the right balance between resilience, competitiveness and international openness.
