People's Eco-Mapping Hearings

Over the past months Dzomo La Mupo, Mulambwane Community Women, Save Our Limpopo Youth and Pepperbark Environmental have been involved in an eco-mapping exercise gathering knowledge on the Malumbane - a site identified for the megatoxic Musina Makhado Special Economic Zone. Part of the eco-mapping is intergenerational story telling.

On the 29th and 30th of September 2021, Earthlife Africa Johannesburg will be hosting the People's Eco-Mapping Hearings at the Northgate Lodge in Makhado, Limpopo province, from 09h00 AM, to hear intergenerational stories of how life was and what people would like to see their land being used for.

The future (young people) will preside over the hearings and present their conclusions at the end of the hearings, based on what they have heard, as the way forward.

The event will be live-streamed (please click on link to the right). To join in person please contact Thabo at thabos@earthlife.org.za or on 083 358- 9182 or 011 339- 3663.
