Adressing barriers in abortion services in Europe

We invite you to an online debate following the launch of a report on the availability of abortion in the Czech Republic, produced by the A.S.A.P. (Abortion Support Alliance Prague) collective with the support of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague.

WHO IS A.S.A.P. (Abortion Support Alliance Prague) 

A.S.A.P. is a collective that researches access to abortion in Czechia. It is also engaged in advocacy and awareness-raising activities in the field of reproductive rights. The collective was founded in 2023 - when it published first report Reproductive Justice and Access to Abortion in the Czech Republic.

The A.S.A.P. collective will soon release the 2024 edition of this report. On this occasion, we would like to talk about abortion in Europe in more detail, so we invite you to an online debate!

We want the report to be a pretext for a broader conversation, to look at the situation across our continent. With the far right growing in strength across Europe, can we expect to see access to reproductive rights being restricted? What should we look out for, and when should we start worrying? But also, what are the positives, what organizations and initiatives fighting for the right to abortion should we support? We heavily encourage you to prepare your own questions and theories and join the discussion next week.

👉🏻 Mara Clarke has spent more than 20 years helping people failed by governments, healthcare systems and bad laws get abortions. She is currently the co-founder of Supporting Abortions for Everyone – S.A.F.E., a Dutch organization dedicated to supporting and resourcing the growing movement of grassroots activists across Europe who are helping people get abortions.
