Climate Alert
Decolonizing climate finance and empowering activists
The Climate crisis is hitting Southeast Asia particularly hard. Climate change mitigation and adaptation require resources; international funding is in high demand. Who is leading major climate projects and for whom? To meet the challenges of climate change impacts fairly, local communities and climate movements need to be involved. What are their needs and their demands? How can civil society engage in environmental and climate issues in repressive states? And how is climate finance influenced by colonial structures?
