Decentralized Democracy and Local Resilience
19th Kyiv Dialogue annual conference
We warmly invite you to the 19th annual conference on the state of Ukraine's local democracy and the vital role of municipalities in the country’s resilience and EU integration.
The decentralization reform initiated in the 2010s has laid the foundation for resilient municipalities in Ukraine. However, the ongoing war and the challenges of reconstruction are pushing these municipalities to their limits.
How is the promised EU reconstruction aid being channeled to local actors? What lessons can be learned from the successful EU accession process of Polish municipalities, and how can these be applied to Ukraine? How can we reconcile the EU’s demands for reforms with Ukraine's immediate needs, given that sustainable reforms are not possible without security?
Following the conference, all guests are invited to join a reception which will provide an opportunity to continue the discussions and engage in networking.
Please note that the event will be held in English and Ukrainian with simultaneous interpretation provided.
