Feminist foreign policy in contested times: French, German, and Franco-German perspectives

Webinar

The international context is marked by new polarisations and conflicts. The world order is changing at in a dramatic way, with major powers changing course, new alliances and international law being increasingly called into question. France is publishing its feminist diplomacy strategy to mark Women's Day on 8 March. Germany will be celebrating the second anniversary of its feminist foreign policy strategy this year. As the Women, Peace and Security agenda turns 25 this year, what are the prospects and developments to follow, in France and Germany? In this unstable international context, in search of a new balance, what role can a feminist foreign policy play?

To mark the publication of the report ‘Feminist foreign policy in a contested era: French, German and Franco-German perspectives’, we invite you to a virtual lunch break on April 3rd from 12:30-13:30 pm. We will be joined by:

  • Johanna Möhring (Researcher and author of the report)
  • Claudia Zilla (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik)
  • Tbc
