Gaza: Doctors Under Attack
Venue: Admiral Cinema, Burggasse 119, 1070 Vienna
The documentary Gaza: Doctors Under Attack examines the impact of Israeli military operations on the health system in Gaza.
The film shows how, despite the relentless bombardment, healthcare professionals in the Gaza Strip continue to treat their patients in severely undeserved and often unsafe conditions. It is a harrowing account of courage, loss and perseverance that sheds light on the role of medical personnel at the forefront in one of the most precarious humanitarian contexts in the world.
Following the film screening, representatives of the film team and Doctors Without Borders will discuss the catastrophic situation of health workers in Gaza, the international legal framework for medical work in conflicts, and what needs to be done politically to protect the work of doctors.
Tickets for the film screening on 12. November with a subsequent panel discussion you will receive free of charge.
