Global Gender and Climate Alliance Online-Seminar: Gender-responsive Climate Finance Mechanisms

With contribution from Heinrich Böll's Liane Schalatek

Join us for a Online-Seminar on Sep 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM EDT.

This is the first in a new “Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) Online-Seminar Series” on issues that affect gender and climate change, including a special focus on the lead up to and beyond the UNFCCC COP21 in Paris.

Gender-responsive finance mechanisms related to climate change are critical to establishing sound policies and on-the-ground action and community involvement that achieves gender equality and addresses climate change.

Join us as three special guest panelists present and discuss their work and views with you, a live participatory audience, on the most pressing gender-finance mechanisms for COP21 and beyond.

Panelists:
- Anne T. Kuriakose, Senior Social Development Specialist, Climate Investment Funds (CIF), World Bank: "Gender in the CIF: Key Priorities and Progress to Date”
- Gabriella Richardson Temm, Gender and Social Issues, Global Environment Facility (GEF) Gender Focal Point: "GEF’s Gender Mainstreaming Approach: Progress and Challenges"
- Liane Schalatek, Associate Director, Heinrich Böll Foundation, North America: "Green Climate Fund (GCF)"

Moderator:
- Vicky Markham, Interim Coordinator, GGCA

Co-organized by the GGCA and IUCN.
