Her Stories
MENA Up-Close: Biographies of the Middle East and North Africa
“Her Stories” narrates the struggles, successes and dreams of three women from Syria ten years after the disruption of the Syrian revolution. The unique storytelling technique delves into the challenges Fatma, Weam, and Malake had to face and the hard choices they were forced to make for their families, for themselves and for their country. From motherhood to abandoning families and emigrating, “Her Stories” highlights how the war moulded these women into revolutionary beings who defied cultural and social barriers to become strong and independent after ten years of living in a war zone.
