Here Comes The Sun

Did you know that “Here Comes the Sun” is the Beatles' most successful song? And that solar energy is the fastest-growing form of energy in human history?

“Here Comes the Sun” is also the title of Bill McKibben's new book. He is a renowned environmental activist and author, a leading figure in the US climate movement. Since the 1980s, he has been warning about the consequences of climate change and mobilizing people to take action. He is the co-founder of numerous campaigns and organizations, most recently Third Act, which encourages older people in particular to take action on climate change.

In this inspiring event, Bill McKibben will talk about how solar energy not only plays a key role in the fight against the climate crisis but can also mobilize people worldwide to actively contribute to climate protection. 

His book shows how the power of the sun allows us to shape a sustainable, just energy future—and how every one of us can become part of this movement. He will be discussing with Mara Kleine, a Climate Justice activist from Fridays For Future Germany. Together, we will explore how we can empower and network across the Atlantic.
