AI, mining, and climate – why does this interest us?

We want to reflect on how technological advancements—especially artificial intelligence—impact our territories and deepen socio-environmental (in)justices, disproportionately affecting Indigenous peoples, Quilombola communities, marginalized communities, fishermen, and Black women.

Format: panel, debate, and collective synthesis. We will address the following questions: Why connect AI, climate, and the environment? Case studies of impacts on territories + accounts of resistance; Political disputes: Big Tech, agriculture, mining, and regulations. ✨
