Land grabbing is when investors and corporations secure large areas of land with the help of purchase or lease contracts that are used for growing food or other agricultural products. Kathrin Hartmann discusses with the Peruvian author Joseph Zárate [participates remotely]. He presents his text about Ruth Buendía, an indigenous Ashñaninka leader who was able to unite her community to prevent a company from building a dam that would have destroyed her country.
