Background & story of the movie "The End of Love"

Julia and Yuval met in Paris and have just had a child. When Yuval decides to return to Israel to renew his visa, the couple organizes their days around Skype meetings. But, little by little, their relationship is deteriorating. The story of this disintegrating couple shows the difficulties for a young woman and mother struggling on her own to cope with the responsibilities of suddenly changing circumstances.

With her movie “The End of Love” director Keren Ben Rafael, born in Israel and living between Paris and Tel Aviv, narrates the difficulties of a Franco-Israeli couple who finds itself forced to communicate by interposed screens when the man is stuck in Israel for administrative matters.

"The End of Love" by director Keren Ben Rafael, won the Grand Jury Prize at the 19th Mediterranean Cinema Festival in Brussels in December 2019.
