How German and South African corporations collaborate in fuelling the war in Yemen and how to stop them

Join the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR), Yemeni based human rights group Mwatana, South African based organisation, Open Secrets, and Urgewald for a discussion on the ongoing complicity of German arms companies and their subsidiaries in South Africa and Italy in the war in Yemen. This global supply chain of weapons has rendered German weapons controls meaningless in Yemen and demands urgent action from authorities in Germany, South Africa and Italy.

This conversation will be hosted by Tilman Massa from the Association of Ethical Shareholders Germany, which focusses on the issues of human rights due diligence, climate justice and controversial arms exports by German corporations at their annual general meetings."

Tilman will be in conversation with: legal researcher at ECCHR Laura Duarte Reyes, Open Secrets researcher, Michael Marchant, and Barbara Happe, campaigner on banks and arms industry at Urgewald.

Yemeni human rights activist, Osamah Alfakih, will also share a short video message from Mwatana.
