Public Forum on GMOs

on Thursday 4th December 2014, 3.00pm to 6.00pm at the Nairobi Safari Club (Lillian Towers)

The Kenya Biodiversity Coalition (KBioC) in cooperation with the Heinrich Boell Foundation welcomes you to a public forum on GMOs planned for Thursday 4th December 2014 at the Nairobi Safari Club (Lillian Towers) from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.

Background:

Over the last decade and a half, there has been an orchestrated pressure to have African countries accept, genetic engineering and to start cultivating and consuming genetically modified crops.

Various voices have emerged, those campaigning for and those against GMOs.

This has often left the public confused and asking many questions.

The KBioC has organized a public debate with both sides of the debate to share their concerns, merits and demerits of accepting GMOs in Kenya today and to answer questions from the public.

We shall be joined by very able debaters from both the Pro and Anti-GMO sides of the argument.

This public forum is open to all.
