Please join us for the side event “Replenishing the GCF as a Force for Transformation,” at the Bonn Climate Change Conference, SB50, on Saturday June 22 from 11:30-13:00 in Room “Kaminzimmer.”

As the GCF seeks its First Replenishment, what lessons learnt, needed course corrections, strategic programming decisions and broader coherence efforts must the GCF apply to drive implementation of the Paris Agreement and bring scaled-up finance and transformational change to developing countries?

This event will bring together perspectives from the GCF Secretariat, GCF Board, research, and civil society to discuss how the GCF can capitalize on the replenishment process to drive climate action forward and reach its transformative potential.

Confirmed Speakers are:

Yannick Glemarec, Executive Director, Green Climate Fund (GCF)

Ambassador Ronald Jumeau, GCF Board Member, Seychelles

Dr. Susan Krohn, Head of Climate Finance Unit, Environment Ministry, Germany

Titi Soentoro, Policy Advisor, Aksi! for gender, social and ecological justice, Indonesia

Tunga Bhadra Rai, Coordinator, Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN), Nepal

Kevin Adams, Research Fellow, Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Sweden

Moderator: Liane Schalatek, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Washington, DC and GCF Civil Society Active Observer for developed countries
