Rethinking Economics in the Age of Extinction: A 'Green New Deal' for South Africa?

In partnership with Heinrich Boll Stiftung, the African Climate Foundation will host a webinar focusing on South Africa’s 2022 budget in the context of the climate crisis.

The intention of this discussion is to connect South Africa’s policy makers, activists and academics who are grappling with the question of what development means amid the climate emergency.

This 90-minnute session aims to rethink how we understand healthy economies and societies. This dialogue will be moderated by Thoko Madonko from Heinrich Boll Stiftung. Speakers include: Fadhel Kaboub, Michael Sachs and Sonia Phalatse.
