Talking about Reproductive Justice

Especially in times of crisis it is more important than ever to fight for reproductive justice and sexual self-determination. This not only requires a good strategy and strong alliances, but also a common language. It enables discussions about the problems, gaps and visions for everyone. At the same time, language potentially risks (re-)producing exclusions or complicating a broader public debate. Queer, migrant, Black, of color and disabled perspectives are still marginalized. Reproductive rights and health continue to be a marginal topic politically.

We believe it is time to discuss and work together in a trustful and productive space about new and old terms, inclusive language and low-level communication in the area of reproduction, self-determination and health.

Together with actors in the field, we would like to approach a common language and new alliances in a small circle (max. 25 people) through inputs, group work and network sessions in order to be prepared and strengthened for the upcoming year.

In order to promote the networking character of the event, we have decided to hold it face-to-face, in consideration of the hygiene regulations of the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation. Due to distancing rules we can only invite one person per organization and therefore ask to confirm or cancel bindingly by August 4th.
