Together We Grow – Designing Liveable Cities for Tomorrow
Final conference of the Liveability Project in Riga
Join the blooming community!
We are excited to invite you to the final conference of the Liveability Project – Together We Grow. Let’s come together in vibrant Riga, Latvia, on 12–13 November 2025 to share insights, exchange ideas, and shape the future of our cities.
Over the past three years, the Liveability Project has explored one big question: What makes a city truly liveable?Together with our partners, six pilot cities and six twin cities, we have tested new ways of designing with people at the centre. Now it’s time to open up these findings, reflect on lessons learned, and imagine what comes next.
This conference is your chance to discover groundbreaking results from the Charter for Designing Liveable Cities and the Liveable Cities Label, to learn directly from cities as they share their unique stories and solutions, and to be inspired by keynotes, urban dives, and live sessions with leading Liveability experts.
Programme highlights:
Day 1: Tina Saaby, Director of the Danish Town Planning Institute and Former City Architect of Copenhagen, will have a keynote conversation with Renāte Lagzdiņa, Director of the University of Latvia Botanical Garden on “The Long Bloom: Past Lessons and Future Visions for Liveable Cities.”
Day 2: Nikolaj Sveistrup, Founder of URBAN AGENDA in Denmark, will join the Liveability Talks Live Session together with Young Urban Planners from the City of Gothenburg, Sweden, and Caroline Paulick-Thiel and Blasius Walch from Politics4Tomorrow, Germany.
Further speakers will be announced later.
