What protection for those defending the rights of people on the move?

Those defending human rights of people on the move face new challenges today. The recent case of the Iuventa crew, unjustly accused for years, is an example of how today those who make gestures of solidarity with people on the move are in danger. 

Thus, knowing our rights becomes essential today in order to be able to defend them.

On 10th June, from 14h to 15h30, Associazione Studi Giuridici Immigrazione (ASGI), in collaboration with Border Violence Monitoring Network (BVMN) and supported by the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Paris, organizes a webinar to present the Italian version of the toolkit ‘In defence of defenders’ and to discuss the risks of criminalising human rights defenders.

Speakers will include Benjamin Fishman (Heinrich Böll Stiftung - Paris office), Alberto Pasquero e Lucia Gennari (ASGI), Eleni Sirri e Noah Hatchwell (BVMN).

Moderated by Eleonora Celoria (ASGI).
