Entering the EU’s new policy cycle: The European Green Deal at risk?
Watch the event recording.
In her political guidelines for the next European Commission, President Ursula von der Leyen repeatedly stresses that she will stay the course on all goals, ‘including those set out in the European Green Deal.’ This repeated emphasis highlights that there are questions regarding the future of the Green Deal. Different political groups and stakeholders have already called for it to be watered down or delayed. Will the new European Commission heed those calls, or will it keep course and continue the European Green Deal? And how will the new European Parliament position itself?
The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union is proud to launch a European Green Deal Risk Radar that analyses the achievements, relevant upcoming dates as well as the potential attacks and threats for the most important legislative projects of the European Green Deal.
Join us in this webinar to discuss the future of the European Green Deal, and identify how and when crucial files need to be promoted in this upcoming legislative cycle.
