Online film screening and debate: "Midnight Traveler"
With film director Hassan Fazili, MEP Erik Marquardt and Sigal Yehuda from Close-Up. Get your ticket before 27 November.
The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union in a collaboration with the Close-Up Initiative has the pleasure to invite you to the online film screening of "Midnight Traveler" followed by a short debate with director Hassan Fazili, MEP Erik Marquardt and Sigal Yehuda.
When the Taliban put a bounty on Afghan director Hassan Fazili’s head, he is forced to flee the country with his wife and two young daughters. Capturing the family’s uncertain journey at first hand, Fazili documents their harrowing trek across numerous borders. He reveals the danger and uncertainty refugees face in their quest for asylum, juxtaposed with the unbreakable love shared by the family on the run.
The original film languages are Dari and English (English subtitles). The run time is 90 minutes. Watch the official trailer.
