Europe on the Move?

Towards a progressive future!

Friday, May 18th, 2018, 10.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
Heinrich Böll Foundation, Schumannstr. 8, Berlin, Germany

Aside from the great yearning for a new narrative for Europe, the continent is facing very specific challenges for which constructive proposals are needed. Such as these questions: What might a social Europe look like? What shape should a future Common European Defence Policy take? In what ways do we want to further develop the currency union? And what can be done to make Europe competitive in the area of digitisation? After the opening debate with a perspective on the 2019 European elections we will compile and draw up with experts from all across Europe as specific policy recommendations as possible relating to the aforementioned policy fields. Where this is not achievable, we want to at least identify the key conflict trajectories: Who advocates what, and why? What can be accomplished in the individual policy fields in light of the forthcoming 2019 European elections?
