Márta Pardavi
Biography
Márta Pardavi is co-chair of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a leading human rights NGO based in Budapest. She focuses on the threats to the rule of law and civil society in Hungary and in the EU. She co-leads the Recharging Advocacy for Rights in Europe (RARE) programme, supporting human rights defenders to build stronger organisations and alliances for action on civic space and rule of law in the EU.
Márta holds a law degree from ELTE Law School and an Executive Master’s of Public Administration from the Hertie School. She is a receipient of several international human rights awards, is a member of the Council of Europe’s Expert Council on NGO Law, and serves on several international NGO boards.
