Biography

Marine Tondelier is a French politician committed to environmentalism, social justice and democracy and has been the National Secretary of Les Écologistes since December 2022.

She studied at Sciences Po Lille, graduating in 2009, before completing her studies with a specialised master’s degree in healthcare facilities management.

Marine Tondelier joined the Greens in 2009. In 2014, she became a municipal opposition councillor in Hénin-Beaumont, a town run by the National Rally. For over ten years, she has carried out demanding work as a local opposition figure, exposing abuses, defending democratic transparency and supporting residents.

Alongside her municipal role, she sits on the Hénin-Carvin Community Council and, since 2021, on the Hauts-de-France Regional Council. At the regional level, she is particularly active on issues relating to transport, climate, spatial planning and social justice.
