Regulating AI: Debating Approaches and Perspectives from Asia and Europe

Objectives

The Hong Kong office of hbs and APRU work together in a collaborative dialogue project that creates links between European and key actors from the Asia Pacific with a specific focus on Asia. The event seeks to share about best practice, developments, governance frameworks, as well as to foster learning processes to deepen insights how to address AI-related governance and policy challenges globally. Our objectives are to:
create a better understanding of, and exchanging insights about, relevant concepts and approaches to AI regulation
facilitate dialogue between key stakeholder groups, actors and experts from Asia, Europe and beyond on AI regulation
inform, update and share with participants about best practice, developments, relevant governance frameworks, and policy on a national or regional level in Asia and Europe.
enable learning processes and foster opportunities for new collaborative working.
