Women CSO leaders for systemic change
How to support feminist leadership in Europe
Please note that – due to a high interest for this event – registrations are already closed as the maximum number of participant has been reached.
Over the past decade, the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) sector has provided opportunities to contribute to societal shifts while driving a just transition and supporting democracy. Simultaneously, women have become the majority of those working in this sector in Europe, increasingly taking on senior leadership roles.
This event, hosted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung EU Office, Foundation for European Studies, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union and Green European Foundation, launches the policy study “Women Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Leaders for systemic change: How to support feminist leadership in Europe”. It represents the first-ever study of its kind, based on the voices of 148 women civil society leaders. It takes stock of the progress of the last decade, as well as identifies remaining barriers and new opportunities for women CSO leaders in achieving systemic change in Europe.
