Politicians and legislators are currently setting the regulatory course for Europe's digital future. Platform economy, data protection and data sovereignty as well as artificial intelligence and open data are addressed by legislative proposals like the Digital Services Act, the Digital Markets Act, the AI Regulation and the Data Governance Act.

iRightsLab, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, the German Research Institute for Public Administration and the German University of Administrative Sciences would like to seize the occasion of these developments and discuss the future of European digital policies with you on Wednesday, 27 October 2021, from 10:00 to 17:30 CEST.

How can we create a value-based European digital future that is innovative and internationally compatible at the same time? What influence can the EU have on the data-driven economy and digitised society through new legislative projects and further regulatory measures?

To reflect on and discuss these and other questions, we will bring together renowned representatives from the European Commission, the European Parliament, ministries, business, science and civil society.

The event is free of charge. The dial-in link will be circulated before the event. There will be simultaneous translation for German and English.

With kind regards,

Dr. Ellen Ueberschär for the Heinrich Böll Foundation
Philipp Otto for the Think Tank iRights.Lab
Prof. Dr. Mario Martini for the German Research Institute for Public Administration and the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer
