22nd Foreign Policy Conference - Expert Conference

On The Way to Carbon Zero

The aggravating climate crisis has made the implementation of the Paris Agreement a central issue in German and European foreign policy. Nevertheless, the integration of climate and foreign policy is still fraught with uncertainties, both in its geostrategic and in its operational dimension.

The Expert Conference of the 22nd Foreign Policy Conference of the Heinrich Böll Foundation will focus on climate partnerships, their risks and challenges, and the stakeholders that need to be involved in order to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of these partnerships.

In parallel breakout sessions we will take a closer look at the following regions:

  • West Balkans
  • Ukraine
  • Morocco
  • Turkey

Join us to discuss with about 100 international experts from the fields of foreign and climate policy!

The Conference language is English.

You can find the document "Designing Inclusive Climate Partnerships - Recommendations for Policy Makers and Practitioners developed during the 22nd Foreign Policy Conference" now available for download on the right hand side. Do you have any additions or corrections? We look forward to hearing from you! Please send us an email until Wednesday, 2 February 2022: foreign_policy@boell.de
