Art in Context
Social and Environmental Crises in Georgia
Join us on October 16 at 19:00 for a discussion titled "Art in Context: Social and Environmental Crises in Georgia," hosted by the Tbilisi office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation - South Caucasus Region.
The discussion in the exhibition space will explore the intersection of art with environmental, social, and political crises in Georgia.
During the discussion, we will examine how various art mediums reflect the ongoing crises of the country. We will also explore whether contemporary artists still have the space to engage with social and environmental crises amid a political landscape filled with numerous challenges.
The discussion will be held at the Window Project gallery, which is currently hosting Andro Dadiani's solo exhibition.
We are delighted to share that the artist's new installation, created using recycled materials and aluminum scraps collected from the streets over several months, was made possible with the support of our foundation.
Our Speakers are:
• Andro Dadian, Artist
• Salome Jashi, Film Documentarian
• Natalia Vatsadze, Artist and Curator
Moderator: Tuta Chkheidze
Location: Gallery Window Project/ Erekle Tatishvili 9
