"The Protection of Natural Resources in the Occupied Palestinian Territory: An Environmental Approach”
Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Palestine & Jordan and Al- Haq are delighted to invite you to the launch of the study and briefing paper on "The Protection of Natural Resources in the Occupied Palestinian Territory: An Environmental Approach” by Al-Haq legal researcher Anan AbuShanab. The presentation will start by a general introduction into Al-Haq’s work on Israel’s exploitation of Palestinian natural resources by Al-Haq senior legal researcher Marya Farah.

The briefing paper addresses Israel’s exploitation of Palestinian natural resources and explores the protection afforded under international environmental law. An environmental approach to protecting natural resources, as opposed to other approaches, focuses on safeguarding the environment as a means of protecting human health and promoting the sustainable use of such resources.
The event will be conducted in English and a light lunch will be served.
