Data for public good in time of pandemic

The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Hong Kong regional office and the Internet Society Hong Kong Chapter would like to invite you to an online seminar on Covid-19 and Open Data governance in Asia and Europe on 24th November 2020 (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. Hong Kong time (GMT+8) / 12 p.m. Brussels time (CET).

This is the third event for the Heinrich Böll Stiftung’s Tech & Covid-19 online seminar series. Benjamin Zhou from Internet Society Hong Kong will assess the balance between Open Data and data privacy from an Asian context. Aline Blankertz from the German think tank “Stiftung Neue Verantwortung” will portray how health data becomes more accessible during Covid despite privacy concerns in European contexts. Glenn Maail from the Web Foundation’s Open Data Lab Jakarta will illustrate the efficacies and limitations of Open Data implementation during Covid for developing Asian countries.
