An Evening with Kenyan Chef Njathi Kabui

On October 16th, World Food Day, we warmly invite you to a very special evening with Kenyan chef, activist, and agro-philosopher Njathi Kabui. Chef Kabui has developed a unique culinary perspective – his “Afro-Futuristic Conscious Cuisine” blends delicious flavors with political awareness, addressing issues such as climate change, health, and food justice.

A highlight of the evening: the finger food will be prepared by Chef Kabui himself – using seasonal organic ingredients, inspired by African traditions and a sense of global responsibility. His dishes are not only delicious but also reflect a philosophy that sees food as a tool for social transformation.

Together with Kabui and guests from politics and civil society, we will discuss food sovereignty, agroecology, labor rights, and the long-term consequences of colonial agriculture.

An evening for everyone who loves good food - and wants to know how it can be part of a just and sustainable future.

The conversation will be held in English without translation.
