Webinar: Foreign Climate Policy

Fostering the Energy Transition and Combatting Climate Change Worldwide

During COP28 last year, Germany presented its new Strategy on Climate Foreign Policy.

The idea is to build strong partnerships worldwide in the fight against climate change, while maintaining biodiversity & securing new resources of renewable energies.

In today's highly unstable context, with Russia's war of agression in Ukraine and the upcoming EU elections, the webinar will address critical issues :
➡What is the potential of Climate Foreign Policy for Germany, France, and the EU?
➡How can emerging, developing and industrialized countries mutually benefit from climate and energy partnerships?
➡ What challenges lie ahead to make these partnerships work?

Speakers :

  • Gaia Febvre, International policy coordinator, Climate Action Network France
  • Alexandra Goritz, Policy Advisor - Climate Foreign Policy, German Watch
  • Jeanette Süß, Reseearcher, Cefra

The discussion will be moderated by Sarah Champagne, program coordinator at the Heinrich Böll Foundation Paris.

This webinar is organised in partnership with IFRI.
