Six Sessions Addressing Issues Critical to Women of Developing Mountain Nations:
- Health of women and children
- Education of women and children
- Economic, family and gender issues
- Human trafficking and exploitation for sexual and economic purposes
- Women as leaders and leadership development
- Transmission of family values, heritage and culture
Participants from the Rocky Mountain states & provinces of North America, as well as from Europe, Africa, Central Asia and Latin America.
Purpose: To strengthen the involvement of NorthAmerican mountain communities in the activities of the Mountain Partnership (MP) in support of sustainable mountain development worldwide as per the United Nation’s First Global Mountain Summit (2002) in Bishkek.
The Conference is unable to provide participant travel and lodging. Participants should seek funding from their institutions. Exceptional exemptions will be considered.
