A Conversation with Mr. Imtiaz Gul

The Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF) and United States Intsitute for Peace are pleased to invite you to a conversation with Mr. Imtiaz Gul, renowned Pakistani journalist and author of the “The Most Dangerous Place: Pakistan’s Lawless Frontier.` Based in Pakistan, Mr. Gul has spent his journalistic career covering Afghanistan, Pakistan’s tribal areas, and militancy in Kashmir. His most recent book provides an in-depth and passionate analysis of Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt bordering Afghanistan.

At USIP, Mr. Gul will discuss his book but then build upon it to discuss the Pak-U.S. cooperation in the War on Terror and the future prognosis for the end-game in Afghanistan and the role Pakistan is likely to play in it.
