This discussion is being held on the occasion of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund and G20 meetings, including the G20 Working Group on Financial Architecture on April 17.
 
The meeting provides an occasion for an informal conversation among Finance Ministry officials of the G20 and representatives of international financial institutions, think tanks and specialized civil society organizations.  The meeting will be “off the record” and open only to invited participants.
 
Mr. Thomas Bernes, distinguished fellow at the Center for Global Governance Innovation (CIGI), has agreed to moderate the discussion.  He is the former Executive Secretary of the Board of the IMF and Director of the Independent Evaluation Office of the IMF.
