A discussion with Jürgen Trittin Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Green Party, German Bundestag
With the growing influence of the Green Party and the possibility that it could participate in a future German government after the 2013 general elections, the Heinrich Böll Foundation North America and the Center for Strategic and International Studies are pleased to invite you to a discussion with Jürgen Trittin, current Chairman of the parliamentary group of the Green Party and member of the German parliament. Between 1998 and 2005, Mr. Trittin was Federal Minister for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear safety.
The discussion will focus on the future of NATO and transatlantic security in Libya, Afghanistan and elsewhere as well as a discussion on climate change and Germany’s recent decision to end its reliance on nuclear energy by 2022.
