They are coming from the Ukraine, Pakistan, Ghana, Kenya, Algeria, the Netherlands and all across the U.S. to attend the <b>1st "Inspire Peace Conference"</b> taking place Saturday, June 17, 2006 (8:15 a.m. To 3:30 p.m.).<br> <br> Dr. Carolyn Crocheron, Founder of Peace of the World International met Rev. Tia Taylor, Founder of Destiny Bound Community Development Organization late last year. Sharing their passion for children and their work for peace led to the birth of "Inspire Peace Conference".<br> <br> <b>Destiny Bound Community Development</b> welcome organizations, individuals, members of religious institutions, government officials/workers, and anyone interested in the making of Peace to attend. Sponsors and vendors are welcome. The program includes dynamic local and international speakers, two workshops Healing "isms" and Peace Works: Perspectives on Building an Industry, plus powerfully inspiring entertainment.<br> <br> A highlight of the conference is the presenting of the <b>"Beacon of Peace Award"</b> to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated long-standing peace action during their lifetime. The 2006 nominees are: Mkawasi Mcharo, the Honorable John Conyers, Her Majesty Queen Uwa Osimiri, David & Carole Schwinn, Keshia Thomas, the Honorable Joann Watson, Imani Woletta Selassie, Mrs. Alice Kirambi, Charles Anderson, Drs. Richard & Brenda Douglas, Sr. Barbara Beesley, Patricia Lay- Dorsey, and Rev. Sheryl Simmons.<br>
