International Workshop on Renewable Energy Policies

On November 22-23, the Heinrich Boell Foundation North America will host an international workshop on renewable energy policies. In cooperation with the World Resources Institute, the workshop will bring together 20 renewable energy experts from developing countries such as policy makers, representatives from government agencies, think tanks, NGOs, and investors.

The two-day workshop will provide a deeper understanding of renewable energy policy design and implementation. Discussions will focus on the role of international financial institutions and the role financial mechanisms, such as feed-in-tariffs, can play to mobilize investments and support the extension of renewable energies in developing countries.
