Participation in Urban Climate Protection

public part of the project meeting of the European project `PUC - Participation in Urban Climate Protection`

Public participation is a crucial part of the implementation and realization of municipal climate protection. What are the key issues for increasing the successful participation of local actors in the drawing and implementation of local climate policy? How can civil society best be enabled to engage in the development of locally adapted solutions? The aim of the workshop is to discuss a variety of already existing approaches for climate activities in European cities and municipalities in order to exchange best-practices and experiences with models of participation within a European context.
