Five-day advanced international training programme

`Peacebuilding and Development: From Lessons Learned to Program Design and Field Implementation (PaD)` is a five-day advanced international training programme for development workers and policy makers, and staff of national and international organizations, UN agencies, and governmental and non-governmental organizations working in development and peacebuilding in communities and areas affected by conflict, war, or in post-war recovery.

The programme has been specifically designed to effectively and practically train participants in skills, tools and methods for integrating peacebuilding and development work, collecting together best practices and lessons learned from the field to assist individuals and
organizations to strengthen their work in program design and field implementation in conflict affected communities.

This includes:

- Towards Better Peace Practice: Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation in the Field;

- Integrating peacebuilding and conflict transformation into development work, including development work in war and violence affected communities and post-war recovery;

- Peacebuilding and Conflict Sensitive Development Work: Improving Development Through Peacebuilding and Peacebuilding through Development

- Integrating peacebuilding in DDR, aid, development and relief operations;

- Developing conflict transformation and peacebuilding capacities within organisations and partners - supporting local capacity development and community and national peacebuilding resources and infrastructure;

- Peace and Conflict Impact Assessments

- Designing sector specific peacebuilding and conflict transformation interventions and strategies for: community-based organisations, local authorities, national and cultural groups, youth, women, media, and businesses
