Rethinking the Green Economy - Which economic model do we need for social and ecological justice?
Public Lecture
The economic and ecological bases of prosperity for everyone are in danger and the gap between rich and poor is widening. The Green Economy seems to offer a way out of the ecological and social crises. It promises the reconciliation between economy and ecology and feeds the hope to maintain our high-level prosperity. The Green Economy is hope and dispute at the same time. The search for economic and societal models that respect our planetary boundaries on the one hand and bring equity and a liveable future for all on the other must in any case reach far beyond the Green Economy’s present concepts. The event will be held in English, simultaneous interpretation into Burmese will be provided. No registration necessary.
with Ms Lili Fuhr, Head of the Ecology and Sustainable Development Department of Heinrich Böll Stiftung in Berlin and co-author of the book: “Inside the Green Economy – Promises and Pitfalls”.
