Roundtable dinner discussion with European MPs

The Center on the U.S. and Europe and the Managing Global Insecurity Project at Brookings, in partnership with the Heinrich Böll Foundation, will host a dinner discussion on May 25 with an important delegation of Members of the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights.  We would be delighted if you could join us.

This roundtable dinner discussion will be an outstanding chance for a small group of invited guests to exchange views on important human rights issues on the transatlantic agenda.  Topics for discussion will include U.S. re-engagement in the UN Human Rights Council, the EU after the Lisbon Treaty, Guantanamo and U.S. detention policy, and ratification of the ICC, among others.  The parliamentary delegation will feature a leading group of European decision-makers: Heidi Hautala (Greens), Kinga Gál (EPP), László Tokés (EPP), Ana Gomes (S&D), David Martin (S&D), and Marietje Schaake (ALDE).

This is an inviation only event.
