Sustainable Development from G20 to Rio+20
Strategies for Expanding the Financing for Gender Equality
This CSW civil society side event, hosted by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung North America, will look at the roadmap for 2012 and discuss the various intervention possibilities throughout the year in the governance processes shaping women’s lives. We will look at what financing is available for women, what challenges gender equality faces in these processes, and how we can raise the awareness for and the availability of financing for gender equality in these political contexts. The UNFCCC climate process, the G20 process and Rio+20 will be specifically addressed, as well as key economic policies such as food and agriculture and the status of development finance.
